Canon has officially expanded its next-generation print lineup with the launch of the Canon imageFORCE C3100 Series and Canon imageFORCE 4100 Series multi-function printers (MFPs). Positioned as part of Canon’s "Power of Next" platform, these series unify the strengths of older families into a cohesive workplace brand built for low- to mid-volume office environments.
The critical technological breakthrough in both lines is the introduction of D² Exposure technology. This system ditches standard laser exposure for a cutting-edge OLED and silicon wafer system. By positioning the light source closer to the drum, it achieves an industry-leading 4800 x 2400 dpi resolution, providing crisp text and unmatched image detail.
Canon imageFORCE C3100 Series (A3 Color)
The Canon imageFORCE C3100 Series is engineered for mid-volume color environments that require precise color registration and quick turnaround times.
Scalable Performance: Features configurations running at 26 ppm, 30 ppm, 35 ppm, and up to 50 ppm to scale perfectly with your team’s workload.
Exceptional Color Control: The D² OLED exposure system eliminates color shifting, providing vibrant proposals and marketing pitches.
Dynamic Media Flow: Configured with smart engine components for smooth handling of everyday office tasks.
Canon imageFORCE 4100 Series (A3 Monochrome)
The Canon imageFORCE 4100 Series delivers robust, high-precision black-and-white performance tailored for dynamic workflows.
Flexible Speeds: Offered in 25 ppm, 35 ppm, and 45 ppm variations.
Ultra-Fast Scanning: Reaches single-pass duplex color scan speeds of up to 270 images per minute (ipm), seamlessly digitizing large reports or mixed-media stacks.
Tough Industrial Build: Constructed with an anti-loosening welded frame designed to maximize machine life and withstand heavy daily usage.⚙️
Shared Platform Features
Both series run on the standardized imageFORCE Platform, ensuring a unified user experience across the office footprint:
Modern Color-Coded UI: Features a highly responsive touch screen with color-coded, intuitive icons. It supports individualized user profiles that automatically load custom default settings and single sign-on (SSO).
Cloud & Workflow Integration: Integrates directly with Canon uniFLOW Online and built-in Cloud Connectors for instant printing and scanning to platforms like Google Drive or OneDrive.
Zero-Trust Security: Outfitted with advanced platform protections, including firmware security through the Unified Firmware Platform (UFP) and automated security environment estimators to map out network risks. Are you considering these models for a net-new installation, or are you looking to replace an existing fleet of imageRUNNER or imageCLASS units? I can pull up direct comparison specifications or detailing options for finishing modules if that would help
