Canon USA has secured the #1 market share position across all U.S. segments A3 MFP segments (including both monochrome and color) according to the latest data from the IDC Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker.

1. Market Share Dominance

  • Segment Leader: Canon is the #1 market share leader in the U.S. for A3 Multifunction Printers.


  • Broad Success: According to IDC, Canon is the only manufacturer to place in the top three across every A3 and A4 market segment.

  • Competitive Shift: Industry analysts have noted Canon's ascent as a "changing of the guard," particularly as it has overtaken traditional competitors like Xerox in several key office solution categories.


2. Major Awards and Recognition (2026)

On March 3, 2026, Canon U.S.A. announced several major wins from Keypoint Intelligence (the industry's leading independent tester):


  • A3 Line of the Year: Canon received the prestigious "2026 A3 Line of the Year" award, which recognizes the best overall performance and ease of use across an entire A3 product portfolio.


  • A3 Pick Awards: Specifically, the new imageFORCE C5140 and imageFORCE C5150 models won individual performance awards for their image quality and speed.
